My husband is actually the bigger book collector in the house. He also has a thing for candles shaped like food, which I fully support. Between the two of us, we have a lot of stuff. Beautiful, meaningful, totally-worth-it stuff. And absolutely no system for keeping track of any of it.
I'd buy a record I already owned. He'd get gifted a book he'd read twice. I'd lend something out and forget who had it. We'd go to buy a gift for someone and just guess.
