This Privacy Policy explains how My Trove LLC ("My Trove," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the My Trove application and related services.
Information You Provide
We collect and store images you upload. Images may be processed for cataloging, recognition, search, feature improvement, and fraud and abuse prevention. Images may include technical metadata.
We may automatically collect device type, operating system, app usage data, log data, crash reports, IP address, and approximate location.
We may use analytics tools to understand usage and improve the Service. Data is aggregated where possible.
Uploaded images and barcodes may be processed by automated systems or third-party recognition providers to identify products and enhance functionality.
We use information to operate the Service, manage accounts, display collections, enable recognition features, send service notices, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve features and performance.
With Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, scanning, recognition, and infrastructure vendors.
For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition.
We do not sell personal information.
Content you mark public may be visible to other users and may be copied or cached outside our control.
We send service emails, account notices, and feature updates. Marketing emails can be opted out of. Service emails cannot.
We may use cookies and mobile identifiers for login, preferences, analytics, and security.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If discovered, we delete it.
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time.
Account Deletion: You may delete your account directly within the Trove app by navigating to Settings → Account → Delete Account. Upon deletion, your account and all associated personal data including your profile, collection data, uploaded images, collection information, and activity history will be permanently removed from our systems. This action is irreversible.
If you are unable to access the in-app deletion option, you may submit a deletion request by emailing . We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
Note: certain data may be retained briefly in encrypted backups before being fully purged. We may retain minimal records where required by law, such as transaction records for tax or legal compliance.
We retain data only as long as necessary for service operation, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted from our active systems. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of account deletion.
We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Residents of certain states may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Contact us to make a request.
We may update this policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
